Restoration: Lake Vermillion Cultural Center

Skills: Restoration Projects

An on-going project

An original window.

The Lake Vermillion Cultural Center in Tower, Minnesota, has moved the former St. Mary’s Episcopal Church and is in the process of restoring and repurposing St. Mary’s Hall.  This vintage church has 17 stained glass windows that Kekekabic Studios is currently in the process of restoring. They will all be reinstalled in the renovated building when finished.

Removing lead and cleaning the glass in a water bath.

Before the window is taken apart, a rubbing is made of the window for reassembly.

Weatherproofing putty being applied after the window has been releaded.
